It's Time to Vote for Your #1 Favorite: Mark Your Ballot for Diablo Valley Farmers’ Market
Voting has begun across the nation for America's Favorite Farmers' Market 2025, sponsored by American Farmland Trust and organized through the annual America’s Farmers Market Celebration (AFMC). AFMC has been held since 2008 and is the only annual ranking of the top farmers’ markets in the United States as voted on by the public. The 2025 AFMC runs August 1 through September 30, 2025, and will award $15,000 in total prizes to the top ten farmers’ markets nationally.
AFMC highlights the important role farmers’ markets play in communities across the nation and celebrates the farmers, ranchers, staff, and volunteers who make markets happen. While they’ve long served as pillars of local food in urban centers and town squares, in recent years, farmers’ markets have gained national recognition as essential businesses that power farmers and communities to thrive.
The award-winning and consistently bustling Diablo Valley Farmers’ Market (DVFM) has for many years ranked in the top ten best farmers’ markets in the state; 2023 marked the first year it was named #1 Favorite in the State of California out of more than 700 markets.

Open year round, rain or shine, Saturdays, 9am–1pm, DVFM is located at the corner of N. Wiget Lane & Mitchell Drive in the parking lot of Kaiser Permanente Park Shadelands in Shadelands.
Founded in 2009, the Diablo Valley Farmers’ Market is a certified farmers’ market, which means that the farmers are licensed by the Department of Agriculture and sell only what they grow — farm-fresh produce ripened at the source and other ag and non-ag food products with no third party re-selling.
The combination of fresh, local produce, plenty of shade and free parking, and family-friendly events every Saturday, enhance and promote a direct connection between producers and consumers, while allowing for conscientious food choices for families and communities who are choosing the food less traveled.
