Joybound People & Pets Invites You to Unleash the LOVE, February 7
One week before Valentine’s Day, Joybound People & Pets will be celebrating all things love at the third annual Unleash the LOVE Festival & Adopt-a-thon, Saturday, February 7, 11am-3pm, on Joybound’s campus at 2890 Mitchell Drive in Shadelands. This year’s event includes the inaugural pre-festival 5K Fun Run & 1 Mile Walk, 10am-11am.
Free and family-friendly, Unleash the LOVE features adoptable cats and dogs, kittens and pups from Joybound, as well as from partner shelter organizations across Northern California including Muttville, Oakland Animal Services, Hayward Animal Shelter, Fresno Humane, Bay Area Pug Project, and Norcal Golden Retriever Rescue, with additional partners signing on daily.
Attendees will find live music, food trucks, a beer garden, and an artisan marketplace, as well as interactive craft stations, games, and temporary and permanent tattoos. There will also be free ice cream, glitter face painting, popcorn, and give aways.
Visitors can get free advice from Joybound’s trainers and veterinarians at the Ask an Expert table, and learn how they can help animals in need by fostering, volunteering, and donating. Registration for the free festival is encouraged.
Registration for the Fun Run/Walk, which includes an entry fee, can be found on Eventbrite. And, every entry comes with a collectible Unleash the LOVE Fun Run & Walk t-shirt.
Unleash the LOVE is one of many Joybound programs and events designed to benefit the community and support the connection between people and pets.
