Family Art Day, March 14
Join Center for Community Arts in Shadelands for its annual outdoor, free, and fun-filled Family Art Day, Saturday, March 14, 10am–1pm, at the Shadelands Art Center, 111 N. Wiget Lane, Walnut Creek.
This is the perfect opportunity to get creative with loved ones, whether it’s painting, crafting, or just having fun with colors. Create, explore, and connect while making lasting memories and memorable art. Open to children of all ages and skill levels, Family Art Day features multicultural, hands-on arts activities at a variety of craft stations celebrating spring festivals from around the world. Diamonds and Detectives,
An Immersive Noir-Comedy Fundraiser
March 28
Have a blast and help raise money for the Center for Community Arts Scholarship Fund. Diamonds and Detectives, an immersive comedy crime adventure puts you in the thick of action. It’s 1946 in The City by the Bay and you’re at the swankiest joint in town, The Shadelands Nightclub and Dance Hall.
You’ll eat, drink, play the tables, and dance the night away, until diamonds are stolen and a private investigator shows up to catch the thief. Look for criminal masterminds, muscle-bound henchmen, creepy villains, corrupt politicians, innocent ingénues, and beautiful femme fatales. Produced by Synergy Theater, the Bay Area’s premiere improvisational theater company, Diamonds and Detectives will be held Saturday, March 28, 5:30–8pm, Shadelands Art Center, 111 N.
