Spring Break Camp, Ages 5-12, at Shadelands Art Center, April 6-10

Spring Break is almost here! Center for Community Arts is offering young artists, ages 5 to 12 years, a week of creativity, imagination, and hands-on artmaking at the Shadelands Art Center, 111 N. Wiget Lane, Walnut Creek, Monday, April 6-Friday, April 10!

Center for Community Arts is offering two distinctive camp experiences, held in a supportive environment that uses process-based learning to introduce children to new, arts-based skills.

• Spring Break Camp, age groups 5-8 & 9-12

This year’s theme is Shaping the World, which celebrates the power of creativity, innovation, and collaboration to make a positive impact. Campers will explore how their ideas, art, and artistic voices can make a difference in their communities and beyond. It’s about understanding that even small creative choices can influence the world around us, and that every young artist has the potential to leave a lasting mark. Camp times are in 90-minute block increments.

• Artist Studio, age groups 5-8 & 9-12

Artist Studio offers full-day options. Students will experience visual arts themed mornings that include painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculpture, and afternoons of multidisciplinary arts that may include music, theater, and digital arts.
