Last Week to Partner with Kaiperm Credit Union to Help Feed Our Neighbors In Need

Kaiperm Credit Union Branch Manager Sarah Trujillo welcomes donations that fill the food drive barrel with non-perishable items, benefiting Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa.

Holiday feasts and gift-giving may be over, but the need for food by thousands of vulnerable individuals and families living in our communities continues every day.

Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa has been feeding the hungry of Contra Costa County since 1983 through its food pantry and its dining rooms, which serve hot meals in Antioch, Martinez, Oakley, Pittsburg, and Walnut Creek.

Kaiperm Credit Union, a long-time supporter of Loaves and Fishes, hosts a food drive every fall, prominently displaying a large food drive barrel in the lobby of its Shadelands branch at 325 N. Wiget Lane, #130. The current food drive runs through January 9, 2026, so this is the last week to help Kaiperm help our neighbors in need.

Donations of non-perishable food items keep the Loaves and Fishes pantry shelves stocked and hungry neighbors fed.

Please consider picking up a few extra non-perishables the next time you make a grocery run, and then donate to the Kaiperm Credit Union Food Drive. By doing so, you are keeping the Loaves and Fishes pantry shelves stocked and our hungry neighbors fed.
