Pretty Tea Parties & Events has opened the doors to its stunning European-inspired Floral Tea Room, just in time for the holidays.
We first visited Pretty Tea Parties & Events in December 2022 with a Shadelands newsletter feature on owner Denise Munoz and her extraordinary Victorian Tea Room, a magical creation of her own design that transports guests to a world of royalty and romance – think 19th century Europe.
Two years later, in the February 2024 issue, we featured her second room, the innovative Woodlands Room experience.
Now, Denise has opened her third Pretty Tea Parties room, a stunning, more intimate European-inspired tea room – with a hint of French café – for people seeking a pause from routine and crowds. Welcome to the Floral Tea Room experience: Tea for Two on Tuesdays.
Luncheon tea is served on Tuesdays, from 11am to 3pm, by reservation only.
With a maximum seating of eleven guests, the Floral Tea Room offers an intimate setting with a fixed menu that includes Denise’s signature homemade scones, salad, fruit, finger sandwiches (with vegetarian options), lemonade, dessert, and specialty teas that surprise the palate.

Tables seat two, and can be pushed together to seat four. One larger table seats three, and a private bistro table in a cozy back corner offers a bit more privacy.

This is a hidden wonderland where no detail is too small. Tables are tucked under a canopy of climbing wisteria and roses. Background music sets the mood, evoking a European bakery or bistro on a sunlit afternoon just off a cobblestone street. Framed oil paintings, chandeliers, French dividers, a stunning white peacock, statuary, and other whimsical accent pieces add to the charm.

At the entry, a comfy brocade sofa and stunning white peacock welcome guests.
Conversation, connection, and hot tea carry equal weight. Checking your phone or rushing through a pot of tea misses the point of the experience. Speaking of a pot of tea, guests will delight in the distinctive self-steep, self-serve teapot that adds to the enchanted experience.
“I want guests to have a great time while they’re here – this is their time to relax and be in the moment with family, friends, maybe co-workers or clients,” said Denise. “I see this as a joyful experience that they want to share with others. They’ll want to come back – and bring someone special with them.”

Located at 520 Lennon Lane, Suite B, the unassuming building with the front doors’ golden signage gives a hint of the magic inside.
