Shadelands Ranch Pumpkin Patch Is For the Child in Everyone

The Shadelands Ranch Pumpkin Patch is open from October 1 to October 31, 7 days a week, 9am to 9pm.

Opening October 1, the Shadelands Ranch Pumpkin Patch has been a cherished autumn destination since 1984. Located at the Shadelands Ranch Museum, and clearly visible from Ygnacio Valley Road, the family-friendly attraction offers a wide selection of pumpkins and gourds, and interactive activities such as puzzle games, arcade basketball, and a petting zoo. The pumpkin patch is fun for all ages, but especially geared for ages 3 to 12.

Colorful displays of pumpkins and gourds of all sizes share space with whimsical imagery of fairy tale and cartoon characters that delight the young at heart. The tractor pulls the cow train all around the patch.

Happiness is time spent at the Shadelands Ranch Pumpkin Patch petting zoo, checking out the goats, pigs, rabbits, and baby chicks.

Little ones will find hamster balls, bumper boats, a hay maze, and a cow train just their size. A sandbox filled with corn kernels, rather than sand, will charm and delight the littlest of the little ones.

The open-air hay maze is just the right size and challenge for little ones who will have fun playing in the hay while looking for a way out.

The miniature pool hosts bumper boats and hamster balls — kids get inside the large inflatable balls and roll around in the water.

Did you know that the Shadelands Ranch Pumpkin Patch hosts field trips and schedules birthday parties? Tables on the grounds of the pumpkin patch can be reserved and made available to the birthday host and guests. Birthday packages include entrance to the pumpkin patch and all attractions, with no time limit.

Education stations sprinkled around the patch delight kids with animal facts, pumpkin facts (Are pumpkins a fruit or a vegetable?), and steps for growing their own backyard pumpkins.

Getting ready for Halloween? Stop by the Shadelands Ranch Pumpkin Patch Halloween shop.

You’ll find plenty of Halloween goodies for sale, including pumpkin carving sets, glow bracelets and necklaces, plastic eyeballs, and the always popular bopper headbands with bouncy skulls, pumpkins, and candy corn. At the concession stand, you’ll find hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream, shaved ice, and soft drinks.

Admission is $4 per person, and free parking is available in the parking lot behind the Shadelands Ranch Museum.
